Serving With Purpose: Living Out Faith Through Heaven’s Helpers

What began as a simple meal has grown into a life-changing mission that now includes the God Closet, a repurposed store offering clothing and essentials, and Go Disciple, a men’s discipleship program focused on building strong, God-centered lives.

The conversation highlights Heaven’s Helpers’ holistic approach to homelessness—meeting physical needs like food, showers, and laundry while also offering spiritual support, relationships, and purpose. Anne explains the “soup bucks” system, which allows guests to earn access to services through volunteering, reinforcing dignity and personal responsibility. Trent reflects on the timeless importance of soup as a basic human need, while Jeff emphasizes the power of personal testimony over forced teaching, noting that real transformation speaks louder than words.

The episode also dives deep into faith in action. Anne challenges listeners to “do Jesus,” not just talk about Him, reminding viewers that God’s love is a gift—not something earned through works. Together, the group underscores the importance of community, volunteerism, and continued support, especially during the holidays, when hardship often feels heavier. This is a moving reminder that real ministry happens when faith shows up in daily action.
