Minot Volleyball Prevails in Mandan

The Minot Majettes improved to 6-5 in WDA play with a straight-set victory over Mandan on Thursday night. In a rematch from last season's WDA play-in, the Mandan Braves (2-10 in WDA play) came out with a strong serving performance throughout the night.

But behind the play of middles Sydney Aberle and Rachel Nwankwo, Minot won clutch points at the end of each set. Mandan led 20-15 in set two before surrendering ten straight points on the serve of senior Mackenzie Dufner. The Braves did not relent, forcing extra points in set three to try and extend the match. However, an ace from senior captain Zoe Zarr won the match for Minot, who faces another stiff test against Bismarck High on Tuesday.
