Mike Motschenbacher on North Dakota Politics, Tea Party Roots, and the 2026 Election

9/3/2025 Shows

He announced his candidacy for reelection in 2026 and confirmed his intention to seek his party’s endorsement. Motschenbacher also reflected on his role as a founding member of the North Dakota Tea Party Caucus, formed in 2009 and 2010, and the grassroots movement it inspired.

Joining him was fellow founding member and patriot Perry Schumacher from West Fargo, who underscored the importance of staying engaged in the political process. Together, they tackled pressing issues, including the recent tragic shooting at a Catholic school in Minneapolis, and the sobering Republican loss in a key Iowa election. This episode delivered a candid discussion about conservative values, the stakes in upcoming elections, and the battle to preserve liberty in North Dakota and across America.
