Fargo South Upsets Sheyenne
Three exciting high school volleyball matches took center stage on BEK TV channels last night.
Fargo South def. West Fargo Sheyenne (3-1)
On their home court, Fargo South took down the defending champions of Class A Volleyball in four sets Tuesday night. West Fargo Sheyenne took the opening set, but the Bruins then reeled off three consecutive tight set victories. The Bruins improved to 5-5 and handed the Mustangs their second loss of the season.
Oakes def. Sargent County (3-2)
In a five-set thriller, Oakes defended their home court and defeated Sargent County on Tuesday night. The Bulldogs trailed 24-19 in the first set but rallied to win it before carrying the momentum to a two-set lead. Sargent County led 8-1 at the beginning of the third set but Oakes slowly turned the match around. It came down to a back-and-forth deciding set, with Oakes prevailing 15-13.
Lisbon def. Napoleon-Gackle-Streeter (3-0)
The Lisbon Broncos improved to 4-5 with a straight-set victory in Gackle. Kyra Haecherl and Kaia Sweet proved to be too much for the Imperials to handle offensively, as the pair dominated both in attack and on serve. The first set was tied at 17 before the Broncos won it 25-18 and eased through the rest of the match.
