Exposing Fraud, Government Growth, and a North Dakota Tradition

North Dakota State Auditor Josh Gallion joins the Ladies to break down the massive Minnesota fraud scandal and explain why it matters to taxpayers everywhere.

Gallion clearly lays out the difference between a standard audit and a performance audit, stressing why performance audits are critical to uncovering waste, fraud, and abuse. He points to daycares as a major hotbed for fraud and warns that the state simply does not have enough funding to conduct deep, meaningful audits. While agency budgets and staff continue to grow at a rapid pace, the auditor’s budget has remained mostly flat—leaving taxpayers vulnerable and oversight stretched thin.

Later in the show, the Ladies share powerful clips warning about the growing influence of radical Islamic movements across Western nations and the United States, urging viewers to stay informed and vigilant about cultural and national security threats.

To close things out on a lighter note, the show highlights one of North Dakota’s most beloved traditions—the University of North Dakota hockey band taking to the ice, complete with a skating tuba player that brings laughs, cheers, and pure UND spirit.
