EKM, LaMoure Competing for Region 3 Crown

In tonight's Region 3 Championship match, the district 5 champion Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier will square off with district runner-ups LaMoure-LM at approximately 7pm on BEK TV.

In last week's District 5 tournament, the Loboes marched ahead to a two-set lead before the Rebels turned the match around. Mataeya Mathern's 26 kills helped E-K-M earn the district title, which was their second win over LaMoure this season. Both of the matches went five sets, and it may not surprise anyone if it takes five more sets tonight to decide the Region Champion who will represent in the State B Volleyball Tournament Nov. 16-18 on BEK TV.

For the Rebels, it is their first Region 3 title game appearance since 2006, a year in which they beat LaMoure. The Loboes have not competed in the Region 3 title match since 2017 -- the final year of their State 3-peat.

The Championship match will air after the Region 3 Third Place Game between Carrington and Oakes at 5:30pm on BEK TV.
