Dominant Defense Leads Minot Past Century
Through four games this season, the Minot Magicians defense has allowed a mere 12 points.
Last night on BEK TV, Chauncy Hendershot's 3rd-ranked team shut out the Century Patriots and improved to 4-0 in 2023. The Magi forced just one turnover, but they held the Patriots to under 200 yards of offense in the victory.
On their opening drive, Minot converted a red-zone fourth down when Lucas Beeter found Kaden Kraft for a nine-yard touchdown. Griffin Broderick powered into the end zone in the second quarter to pad Minot's lead to 17-0 at halftime.
Senior running back Tyson Ruzicka scored two touchdowns in the win -- one rushing and one receiving. His season total now sits at seven.
Century was shut out for only the second time since 2012. They will carry a 1-3 record into next week's Dakota Bowl rematch against Shanley.
