Defending Native Heritage in American Sports and Culture

Becky, a registered Native American, has spent 30 years fighting to protect her high school’s name, the Redskins, long before she discovered NAGA and its nationwide support network. Today, NAGA is raising funds for a major lawsuit heading to the New York Supreme Court, defending Native history, identity, and cultural representation. Their mission is simple: educate, not eradicate. Becky explains how removing Native names and imagery is cultural erasure and racial discrimination, because it deletes Native Americans from America’s historical landscape rather than teaching the true story of the American Indian.

The panel also breaks down the strategic value of Greenland to the United States—politically, militarily, and economically—giving viewers a fresh look at global power and national security. The episode closes with a wholesome “My Hometown” preview from Savage, Montana, spotlighting a local artist who collects agates and turns them into stunning creations that celebrate small-town America. Watch this episode to learn, think, and celebrate the heritage that makes this country strong—only on BEK TV!
