Black Leg Ranch: From Beef to Brews with Jay and Jerry Doan
The tour visits ranches and ranchers who are leading the charge "toward a more regenerative future" for America's Beef Industry. She first sits down with son Jay, who spearheads the Black Leg Brewery portion of this diverse family operation, and they talk about the venues on the ranch for weddings and large events and gatherings, as well as brother Jermey's Rolling Plains Adventures hunting and outdoor recreation business. Next, patriarch of the Doan Family, Jay's dad Jerry speaks with Lori about the recent Sustainable Ranchers Tour which included a full day of learning about what they do at Black Leg Ranch to preserve the land and water for future generations. Discussions ranged from grazing systems and soil health, to cover crops, wildlife, ranching and creating wetlands.
