BEK TV Televising 76th Paint Bucket Game

On Thursday night, BEK TV will televise the 76th installment of the Paint Bucket game between Valley City State University and the University of Jamestown. The rivalry is over a century old, with VCSU holding a 64-54-5 advantage in the series. However, the Vikings are seeking revenge after Jamestown claimed a 27-24 victory on an overtime touchdown in last season's edition.

Valley City State enters the year receiving votes in the NAIA Top 25 poll. Picked to finish second in the North Star Conference, Dennis McCulloch's Vikings return 15 starters from a team that went 5-5 last season. Aside from last season's defeat, they have dominated the rivalry in recent history by winning ten of the previous eleven meetings.

Jamestown returns 17 starters of their own from a group that improved to 4-7 last year. Picked to finish 7th in the GPAC, coach Brian Mistro and the Jimmies could build confidence with another win in this historic rivalry game.
