25th Street Rivalry Among Tuesday's Basketball Slate

Mandan vs. Bismarck -- 5:45 PM Girls Basketball, 7:30 PM Boys Basketball on BEK TV (West)

The Braves and Demons open their respective WDA seasons against one another this evening at Karlgaard Gymnasium in Bismarck. On the girls' side, the Braves ride a 2-0 start after wins over Fargo North and Shanley. Bismarck High is 2-2 after a pair of losses to Davies and Red River last weekend.

The Demons' boys team lost to Davies in their last matchup as well, making their record 1-2 entering tonight's contest. Mandan is 1-1, and took #1 Fargo North to the buzzer in their lone road loss this season.

Shanley vs. Davies -- 5:45 PM Girls Basketball, 7:30 PM Boys Basketball on BEK TV (East)

It's always a little bit more meaningful for each of these schools when they get together. Davies is second-ranked in both Girls and Boys Class AA polls, but Shanley will come to town and pose a stiff test. The action begins at 5:45 PM on BEK TV on the eastern half of the state, with BEK Sports 2 covering this game if you're in the west.
