Urban Funding Woes, Maddy's Gender Journey, and Povenmire's Animated Legacy

This alarming diversion of funds is causing a rift, and Lowery is on a mission. He passionately urges citizens from all walks of life to come together and work towards reclaiming the vitality and prosperity of our urban areas.

Meanwhile, from the heartlands of Lawton, Oklahoma, Maddy Edwards shares her compelling personal narrative. At just 25, Maddy unveils her four-year journey of living as a man. Yet, in an unexpected spiritual revelation, she felt a profound calling to revert to her original gender. Today, Maddy exudes joy in her renewed identity as a woman and relishes her cherished role as a mother.

Amid these heavy stories, our audience can anticipate a lighter segment titled "You've Got to Be Kidding!" This addition promises content that ranges from humorous to deeply thought-provoking.

Lastly, Dan Povenmire, the genius behind iconic animations like "Phineas and Ferb," pays homage to his past. Povenmire reminisces about the pivotal role a particular teacher played in shaping his future, crediting this mentor for instilling the confidence he needed to pursue his ambitions. Touchingly, Povenmire's success and acknowledgment provided that very teacher with a newfound zest for life.

More on PROJECT 21:

Project 21, an initiative of The National Center for Public Policy Research, aims to represent and promote the perspectives of African-Americans who value entrepreneurship, family, and individual responsibility—views that the organization feels have not been traditionally highlighted by the nation's civil rights establishment. Project 21 members participate in a variety of public forums, including writing op-eds, engaging in policy discussions, speaking at events, and advising policymakers. The goal is to enhance America's quality of life for African-Americans and all citizens through these efforts.

The initiative was established in response to the 1992 Los Angeles riots following the Rodney King incident. Recognizing that the voices of conservative and moderate African-Americans were underrepresented in the media, The National Center convened a meeting to create a network that would promote these perspectives. Officially launched in 1993, Project 21 not only seeks to amplify conservative and moderate African-American voices but also actively recruits new members to spread these views across the nation.

Project 21 has had a significant impact since its inception, with its members being published, quoted, or interviewed over 35,000 times. Their contributions have spanned a range of media outlets, from television shows to prominent newspapers.

Publications from Project 21 focus on various issues that impact the African-American community, such as immigration policy, election reform, inflation, critical race theory, and environmental justice. These publications aim to offer insights and solutions from the perspective of the African-American community and influence public policy in these areas.
