Origins of a Champion
Liz Johnson’s story begins in Niagara Falls, New York, where she grew up before living for 18 years in Cheektowaga and then returning to her hometown. Originally a standout softball player, Liz made a major transition into the sport of bowling, where she would quickly rise to elite status. She first made national headlines by winning the 1992 Coca-Cola Youth Championship. Her passion for the game led her to make a bold decision—leaving college early to pursue bowling as a full-time career.
