Lori Features 2 Mandan Business Owners: Send It 24/7 Cornhole & Up Here Gear

Three friends were really into the sport of cornhole and finally decided they wanted to share their passion with the masses! Jed, Brad, and Brandon converted a building that previously housed a local cabinet maker into not only a cornhole-player's mecca, but a sports bar newly named Chuckers, an axe-throwing venue, and a huge event center location for everything from receptions and gatherings to Christmas parties. Steve Connell helms the sports bar, and oversees the other side of the business with axe-throwing and more. Rather than going from place to place to practice their sport, the owners have now created a hub in Mandan for the cornhole enthusiasts in the state (and nation)! Born and raised in North Dakota, when he was older, Mark Zinke moved to Arizona for a short time, and started looking for apparel to represent his North Dakota roots while living there. This gave him the idea to make his own clothes with uniquely North Dakota sayings and graphics on them. Up Here Gear was begun! Mark makes something just for Lori in his shop on the strip in Mandan at Northern Trophy. From North Dakota outlines and our single telephone area code (701!) to cute sayings that mean a lot to North Dakotans, he creates screen printed and embroidered fun apparel in hundreds of size and color combinations and sells them in Kirkwood Mall at The Locker Room.
