John Kerry's "Rules for Thee, but not for Me!" & Rodeo Makes Its Way to BSC

Jon Peek joins the Ladies to talk about the new rodeo program at Bismarck State College.  He has a full lineup of coaches for every event.  We talked about how this is an individual sport, yet the team gathers points.  There is an event Friday night to introduce all the coaches and signed athletes at the Bismarck State College Energy building starting at 5:30.

On March 15-17, the Bismarck Figure Skating Club will be hosting its annual ice show. This year's theme is "Cruzin' Concert Series" and the only thing better than the music will be the skating!

The ice show has a few highlights, including: Guest Skaters Leah Neset & Artem Markelov, the 2024 US Junior Ice Dance Champions and Members of Team USA. They will be skating in each show. Leah's family is originally from Minot, and her cousin skates in Bismarck.

The Capital Ice Chips took Silver at the National Synchronized Skating Championships in Las Vegas on February 24. This was the Chips' 13th time at nationals and 8th time on the podium. The Capital Ice Connection, a team comprised of skaters under 14, also competed at Nationals, taking 9th place.

Eight graduating seniors will be skating throughout the weekend. For some, this will be their final performance on the ice. Others will keep skating into college. There will be 167 local skaters in the ice show. Skill levels range from the newest skaters, whose cuteness nearly melts the ice, to those who have passed senior freestyle skate levels.

Tickets are available at facebook.com/BFSCIceShow or through eventbrite. This event is the Bismarck Figure Skating Club's biggest fundraiser of the year. It is also the largest ice show in North Dakota.

In the Lighter Side, we highlight a man who simultaneously sings the National Anthem while painting a patriotic masterpiece!  Get out the tissues!
