From Guatemala's Classrooms to North Dakota's Wildlife: Stories of Hope, Action, and Protection

On this episode of Ladies of Another View, we hear from two remarkable guests who are making a big impact in two very different areas—one helping kids in Guatemala and the other working to protect North Dakota’s land and wildlife. First, we welcome Luke Armstrong, founder of the Integral Heart Foundation. Luke shares powerful stories about his mission to get children off the dangerous streets of Guatemala and into safe, nurturing classrooms. He talks about how even small acts of kindness and words of encouragement can change a child’s life forever. Luke is not only a humanitarian but also a talented author and musician. His passion for lifting up others is clear, and he offers a moving reminder of how education can break the cycle of poverty. Then, we turn our focus closer to home with Bill Haase from the North Dakota Game and Fish Department. Bill gives us a serious warning about the growing invasion of “super pigs”—a destructive, fast-breeding invasive species that has already taken root in parts of Canada and may be heading toward our northern border. These animals can ruin crops, spread disease, and harm our native wildlife. Bill explains the dangers they pose, why shooting them without authorization can make the problem worse, and what everyday people can do to help stop them. He also shares updates on how North Dakota wildlife is doing this season and what the public needs to know about conservation and hunting as the seasons change. From inspiring work in Central America to protecting the land we love here at home, this episode proves that when people step up and take action, real change is possible.
