Apply Today: Scholarship Deadlines Approaching Fast

If you’re planning to apply for one of BEK Communications Cooperative’s student scholarships, now is the time to act. Several scholarship deadlines are coming up quickly, and we don’t want students or families to miss out.

At BEK, we know students aren’t just part of our communities, they’re the future of them. For more than 25 years, BEK has offered scholarships to help local students pursue higher education and build careers that strengthen rural North Dakota. If you are a BEK Cooperative member, a BEK Fiber customer, or a dependent of one, you may be eligible for one or more of the opportunities below.

Valley City State University Scholarship

Award: $1,250 – $2,500 Deadline: February 14, 2026 Who should apply: Current or new VCSU students pursuing technology-related degrees

Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) Scholarship

Award: $1,500 – $7,000 Deadline: February 14, 2026 Who should apply: Rural students entering their first year of college or technical school

BEK Scholarship

Award: $500 Deadline: March 1, 2026 Who should apply: 2026 graduating seniors beginning their first year of college

University of Mary Scholarship

Award: $1,250 Deadline: March 1, 2026 Who should apply: Students pursuing Mass Communications, Computer Information Systems, or similar majors
